Back in October, the ZTE Blade S7 was spotted on a 3rd-party retail website and almost a month after, ZTE has just officially announced the device. It would be available at first in several markets in Asia Pacific (APAC) regions starting with Thailand in Diamond White, Lemon Green, Rose Gold and Space Grey colour options. There is no word on pricing.
The ZTE Blade S7 is the company’s most powerful selfie centric smartphone yet with a front facing 13MP camera with front LED flash and Phase Detection Autofocus for selfies. The main camera is also a 13MP snapper with Laser Autofocus for shooting in low light conditions and LED flash.
It sports a 5-inch Full HD LTPS Super Retina display with 178-degree viewing angle, 72.1% screen-to-body ratio, a pixel density of 445ppi and 2.5D curved Gorilla glass 3 protection on the front as well as the rear. The device measures 142 x 67 x 7.2 mm in dimensions and has an alluminium alloy body frame.
Under the hood, the ZTE Blade S7 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 3GB of RAM, 32GB expandable internal storage space, has Dual SIM slots, runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS with ZTE’s MiFavour 3.2 UI ontop and is backed by a 2500mAh battery.
The fingerprint scanner which is embedded into the home button has a feature called – One Press Launch, which lets users unlock the device and launch apps with fingerprints. Other features touted are Smart Sense which includes Magic Gestures and more.
