Chinese Multinational Telecommunication company, ZTE has launched a mid-range smartphone in China. ZTE has officially announced anew mid range smartphone called the ZTE Star 1.
ZTE Star 1 with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, LTE support launched
The smartphone runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box and supports single SIM (GSM) functionality. The ZTE Star 1 is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8928) processor with 1GB of RAM. It also features a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920) IPS display, 8-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and BIS (back illuminated sensor), and 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The device comes in 16GB and 32GB inbuilt storage variants (expandable up to 64GB), powered by a 2300mAh battery. Apart from LTE network support, other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ AGPS and 3G.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
Currently the LTE enable ZTE Star 1 is available in China only, and no information has been released on its availability in other countries. The ZTE Star 1 currently goes on sale for CNY 1399 (around the range of N37,000 and N40,000). The phone is excepted to come in Pink, Black and White colours.

Earlier this year at the CES, ZTE also announced the ZTE Grand S II. The ZTE Grand S II features a 5.5-inch, powered by a a quad-core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 chipset alongside 2GB of RAM. Its sports a 13MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 16GB inbuilt storage, 3000mAh batteryand runs on. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
There is also an ‘Exclusive ZTE Grand S II variant’ which has a RAM of 3GB, 32GB inbuilt storage and sports a leather case.
