Chinese company, ZTE has exclusively announced and launched the ZTE V5 in India; this is no news as more Chinese companies are following the footstep of Xiaomi by launching their devices in the country. The device would be available exclusively on Snapdeal with no word on whether the devices would make it to pyhsical stores.
The ZTE V5 features a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS OGS display and DragonTrail Glass. Under the hood is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM. There is 4GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
The smartphones sports a 13MP Sony Exmor CMOS rear camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera with BSI sensor. The rear camera is said to come with camera features such as the Panorama, special effects, lightmeter, autofocus, stabiliser and more. Moving on to connectivity and network aspect the device supports 3G connectivity & Dual SIM functionality, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/GLONASS, 3.5mm Audio Jack and FM Radio.
The ZTE V5 runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with Nubia 2.0UI ontop and is backed by a 2400mAh battery which provides 6 hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby time. The device is available for Rs 10,999 ($181 / £131 / N30,000 in Naira) and happens to be the competing with the likes of the Karbonn Titanium S19 and the Lava Iris Pro 30+ which were recently launched in the country.
