ZTE has announced a new mid-tier smartphone – the ZTE V870 for the Chinese market. The phablet device, which has a body made from metal (with plastic antenna bands) in Grey colour only, comes pre-loaded with MiFavour 4.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat OS and a rear-placed fingerprint scanner for improved security.
The ZTE V870 features a 5.5-inch IPS display with 2.5D Curved glass and 1920 x 1080 pixels Full HD screen resolution (401ppi), rear facing 16MP camera with a single LED flash and f/2.0 lens, front 8MP selfie camera with f/2.2 lens, and a 3,000 mAh battery (non-removable) which should last about a day of usage.

On the inside, it relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 (MSM8940) octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz paired with Adreno 505 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD). It measures 156 x 76 x 7.8 mm, supports 4G LTE networks and NFC connectivity, and also fitted with two massive speakers and a microUSB 2.0 port.
The pricing of the ZTE V870 is a bit on the high side at CNY 2699 (around US$ 400).
