The ZUK Z1 Oak Edition has a different body material but the specs remains largely the same. The body is now made of Pure Oak wood (not some artificially made one) which has been sourced from the Appalachian Mountains in the U.S. To retain its natural look, the wood is devoid of any dye of polish.

Running Cyanogen 12 OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and backed by a 4100mAh battery, the device sports a 5.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and a pixel density of 401ppi. Under the hood lies a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz which is the same used on the recently announced OnePlus X.

The ZUK Z1 Oak Edition has Dual SIM slots with Dual Standby, 3GB of RAM and 64GB of non-expandable native storage space; for photography, there is a 8-Megapixels front facing camera for selfies as well as video chats, 13-Megapixels rear facing camera with OIS and a fingerprint scanner onboard for biometric authentication.
