Just hours ahead of Apple’s Far Out fall event, Google has sent out official invites for the launch of new Pixel smartphones (Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro), new Pixel Watch and other hardware products in the Made By Google family.
The Pixel 7 launch event is scheduled for October 6th at 10AM ET/3PM BST (October 7, 1AM AEDT in Sydney and 3AM NZDT in Auckland). The event will be streamed live and there are attendance from members of the press.
Google showed of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro as well as the Pixel Watch at the I/O 2022 event earlier this year.
The new devices are expected to be powered by the next generation of the company’s in-house Tensor processor and come pre-loaded with Android 13. The design is not drastically different from the existing Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, and the bigger pro model has an extra camera cut-out which suggests a triple camera system (rear).
The Pixel Watch is the first official smartwatch built by Google itself. It will have the new wear OS, Fitbit fitness and other Google-owned apps. There is also a talks of a new Pixel Tablet powered by Google Tensor. As for other products, further details are limited at the moment.
