In addition to the ZenWatch 3 and new Zenbook 3 with the latest Intel Kaby Lake (7th-gen) processor; ASUS surprisingly announced a new simple, super-thin 15.6-inch portable monitor – the ASUS ZenScreen, for professionals to get the job done quickly while on-the-go.
Measuring about 8 mm thin and weighing less than 1kg (800 grams), the ASUS ZenScreen MB16AC is praised as the world’s lightest and slimmest Full HD portable display. It also comes with an ultra-thin (1 mm) foldable smart cover case which also doubles as a stand for horizontal or vertical support.
Sticking a pen or pencil into a hole in the corner also supports the Zenscreen in an upright position. The portable monitor has a Full HD screen resolution and the hybrid USB Type-C port that works both as a video input and power adapter. The port is compatible with any laptop with a USB Type-C/Type-A port starting with the ASUS Zenbook 3.
Although, there is no word on availability details or release details, the ASUS Zenscreen will be available for EUR 269 (~ $300).
The company also showed off the the ZenPad 3S 10 tablet with 9.7-inch QXGA display, Hexa-Core Mediatek processor and 4GB of RAM; the ASUS Transformer Pro, a new powerful 2-in-1 tablet and the Transformer 3 Hybrid with up to 8GB of RAM, at the IFA 2016 in Berlin.
