Few days after XBox revealed the launch details of its upcoming consoles, Sony has followed suit with the pricing and availability details of the PlayStation 5 with Ultra-HD Blu Ray Disc Drive and its discless version – the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. Both models are available at select retailers starting November 12 in Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, South Korea, and the US. It will be available to the rest of the world including Asia, Europe, South Africa, and South America, starting November 19.
Moving to the pricing, the PlayStation 5 is set for sell for US$ 499.99 (US), EUR 499.99 (Europe), GBP 499.99 (UK) and JPY 49,980 (Japan) while the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition costs US$ 399.99 (US), EUR 399.99 (Europe), GBP 399.99 (UK) and JPY 39,980 (Japan). The following accessories will also be available in November:
- DualSense Wireless Controller – US$ 69.99/JP¥ 6,980/EUR 69.99
- DualSense Charging Station – US$ 29.99/JPY 2,980/EUR 29.99
- HD Camera – US$ 59.99/JPY 5,980/EUR 59.99
- PULSE 3D wireless headset – US$ 99.99/JPY 9,980/EUR 99.99
- Media Remote – US$ 29.99/JPY 2,980/EUR 29.99
Sony has equipped the two PS5 models with the same custom processor with integrated CPU and GPU, ultra-high speed SSD, 3D audio, and DualSense Wireless Controller. The company also shared a sneak peek of upcoming games such as Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, Final Fantasy XVI, Hogwarts Legacy, and New God of War title. These new games will join the games already shown such as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, and Demon’s Souls.
