On the back of the launch of the Realme 3 Pro in India last month, OPPO’s Realme brand has unveiled two new smartphones – the Realme X and Realme X Lite in China. Both devices feature a dual rear camera setup, Snapdragon 710 10nm Mobile Platform, VOOC 3.0 fast charging and come pre-loaded with ColorOS 6.0 (based on Android 9.0 Pie).
The Realme X has a notch-less 6.53-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 91.2% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 6th-gen in-display fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port and depends on a 3,765mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging. It packs up to 8GB of RAM, up to 128GB built-in storage, Bluetooth 5 and has a new gel cooling for reducing the phone’s temperature by up to 15.2% in one hour.
For photography, the device has 48MP (f/1.7, LED flash) + 5MP (f/2.4) dual rear cameras with AI scene recognition and a 16MP (f/2.0) pop-up selfie camera like the OnePlus 7 Pro and Huawei P Smart Z. The device arrives in Purple-Blue and White gradient colours, and cost CNY 1499 for the 4GB + 64GB model. The 6GB + 64GB model is priced at CNY 1,599 and the high-end 8GB + 128GB for CNY 1,799.
Realme is also releasing a Master Edition designed and autographed by iconic designer, Naoto Fukasawa in Garlic and Onion colours for CNY 1,899. The Realme X Lite or Realme X Youth Edition is the Chinese version of the Realme 3 Pro. The device has the same specs and pricing starts at CNY 1,199 for the 4GB + 64GB model. The 6GB + 64GB model is priced at CNY 1,299 and the high-end 8GB + 128GB for CNY 1,499.
