Ulefone has sent out invites for the MWC 2018 launch event for an all-screen smartphone with the all-new Mediatek Helio P70 SoC on-board. Dubbed the Ulefone T2 Pro, the flagship features a unique 19:9 full-screen display similar to that of the Apple iPhone X and dual rear cameras.
According to sources, it is expected to feature a 6-inch display with reported 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Available renders shows it has a shiny metal body frame with glass back, antenna lines at the top as well as the bottom. Also, it measures 165.85 x 78.25 x 7.7mm in dimensions.
When it finally launches, the Ulefone T2 Pro will be the first ever smartphone to be equipped with the more powerful Helio P70 SoC. The chipset will be built using TSMC ‘s 12nm process technology and feature an octa-core SoC – 4x Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and 4x Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.0GHz.
The Mediatek Helio P70 SoC will also come with ARM Mali-G72 MP4 GPU, support for up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.1 or eMMC 5.1 storage and LTE Cat. 12. The company is also said to be working on the Helio P40 SoC, which has the same Cortex-A73/A53 combination as the P70 but the A73 cores is clocked at 2.0GHz and the MP3 version of the Mali-G72 GPU is employed.
